パージング

パージングは英語で綴るとpirging。「赤狩り」は「レッドパージ」といわれるが、その「パージ」である。

レッドパージのパージは１もしくは２の意味。３は罪を許すという意味。罪の浄化である。４はデータの消去。５が食べ物を吐いたり、下剤を使って出すという意味。摂食障害でパージングというときは、５の意味なのだが、１〜３の意味を含めて考えてみると良いかもしれない。つまり、自身への敵対者としての食物の排除、罪の浄化としての嘔吐という意味として。
