フィンランドの広汎性発達障害の調査。北フィンランド(オウル・ラップランド)において、3歳〜18歳までの15万2732人が対象。サンプルを取って有病率を計算したものではなく、保健所や病院などを通じて発見された数を該当人口で除した数字のようだ。


自閉性障害の有病率は1万人あたり12.2人。診断基準はICD-10DSM-IV
この他に、カナーの診断基準、ICD-10自閉症スペクトラムの有病率が示されている。

カナーによる自閉性障害の診断基準では2.3人(1万人あたり)、ICD-10DSM-IVの診断基準では6.1人(1万人あたり)、ICD-10自閉症スペクトラムの診断基準では7.6人(1万人あたり)という結果が出ている。


もう1点興味深いのが年齢によって有病率が異なっていると言うことである。


DSM-IV(ICD-10)で比較すると、3〜18歳全体では12.2人(1万人あたり)。5〜7歳では20.7人(1万人あたり)。15〜18歳が最も少なく6.1人(1万人あたり)。


5〜7歳での診断でもほぼ実際の有病率を反映しているとも言えるため、実際の有病率もこの値に近いものであるとこの論文は考えている。このような有病率の差は公的サービスの充実がなされてきたことが原因であるとこの論文は考えている。この調査は、サンプルを取ってそこから有病率を推定するタイプではないので、このような年次を追うごとに増える結果が現れるのであろう*2
